Friday's start in 3knots of wind saw Flair IV buried under windward boats refusing to respond to the "up" call. Some good and some lucky calls on shifts found her back in the top five by mid race with excellent boat speed from a new light number one in 6 knots of wind and eventually quite content with a 7th place. Saturday dawned a flat calm with the customised Swan 48 Alvine/Jacobite discarding her 15th and Flair her 7th giving both unassailable 1st and 2nd overall respectively. The race was finally cancelled allowing Flair to return early to her home at Poole Yacht Club. The week has been a fantastic success for competitive sailing with very happy sponsors from Euroclad, Edgerley Simpson Howe and GallifordTry thoroughly enjoying their sailing on Flair IV with a teenage crew and only three of the "old codger" regular crew.
