News : WSS 06 - Race 5 - How many people does it take to sail a 37? [Apr 10]

It looks like Race 5 will be the discard for both us and our chief opposition, Quokka. Having had a dreadful start, romped up the first beat to recover 3rd position, been in a cracking dice with the Dehlers (Eye 2 Eye and Deliverance) and then managed to get our no.1 stuck in the pre-feeder, romped our way back past Quokka (proving that we continue to have excellent light wind speed and angle, despite a grubby bum!) we then managed to touch the finish mark, oh well!!!

Big thanks to Mike Bridges and the Elaine (Elan 37) team for the lift back into Warsash. This enabled Flair IV to return to Poole for a much needed lift and a bit of TLC. It also perplexed just about everyone on the way back into the River Hamble as they could all be seen pointing and counting exactly how many people were on the deck. The correct answer was 19. It will be interesting to see if anyone asks to see Mike's handicap certificate for the crew rating.....................
