Well having started so well last week it was inevitable that we would be some way off the line this week. A failure to make a decision left us with work to do having come off the line almost clear last but clever tactical work, a solid playing of the shifts and excellent crew work through the tacks saw us round the windward mark in 4th place (with 3 Elan 40s in the top four!). Concentration on boat speed and with tactical use of gusts and shifts downwind saw us through to third before continued concentrated effort up and down the next two legs saw us into first place. A solid last beat, reach and beat to the finish saw us recover enough on the fleet to take line honours and corrected time victory for the second time in the series. This time Elan took the top 3 places with Quokka (37) once again coming in second and our old foe Passion (40) coming in 3rd, demonstrating a better performance with her new sails.
