News : Little Britain Challenge Cup 2004 - Kier building with Flair wins Class 2 [Sep 14]

With 2 wins and a 3rd place from 3 races Flair IV, in the care of it's long-term supporter the Kier Group, triumphed in Class 2 of the Little Britain Challenge Cup. This regatta, the largest corporate sailing event in the world, for building industry crew members has been one of the most keenly contested. The level of the competition illustrated by the presence of the Commodores Cup winning yachts Exabyte 2 in IRC 1 and Jeronimo in Class 2, both being skippered by their owners who are from the construction industry! With only the boats former mainsheet man Ian Foster from it's regular crew and with Jim "whispering" to a guest helmsman this result, beating Jeronimo in the process, is a great coup for Kier and enabled them to leave Cowes with the boat riding slightly lower in the water because of all the silverware.
